Welcome to our blog section, intended to talk about grief. Throughout the year you will see articles on bereavement, its effects and of course, tips and solutions to get through it.
Life is all that is included between being born and dying. Of course, the birth or the beginning of a thing, a relationship or a person is a source of happiness. No matter what the circumstances surrounding the birth of a child, when that happens, there is always hope for a positive and happy future for the newborn. On the other hand, when death strikes, whether it is expected or not, it is the end. No more hope, no more future for the person who disappears. There begins the long process of mourning.
The loss of a loved one is truly one of the most painful events one can experience. Even if death is part of the normal course of things, nothing can protect us from the pain that accompanies the loss of a loved one. It is a must, and we are ill prepared to live it.
For several generations, death has been eliminated from our everyday life. A hundred years ago, our mothers often lost one or more young children, and most people died at home, surrounded by their families. Death was therefore an integral part of the life of our ancestors. And, as religion was everywhere and in everything, death was also an integral part of religious practices. It was not an end of life, but a passage to another life, different, but which continued. All the rituals surrounding this stage were therefore lived in family with the hope of future reunion in a beyond better than our present.
Throughout this year, we will address what is today’s reality when death strikes. We therefore hope to meet you throughout the year and discuss with you this essential subject of mourning and its stages.
See you soon!
