Clémence Béland, daughter of the late Cécile Léveillé and Isidore Béland, passed away at the age of 86 on September 9, 2022. She was the wife of the late Jean-Louis Ménard and, previously, of the late André Rivet.

Devoted mother of Marie-Claude Rivet and the late Alain Rivet, and loving grandmother of Anne-Cécile Ladouceur (Samuel Rowlandson) and Étienne Ladouceur (Gabrielle O.-Martin), she is also survived by her sisters Jeanne-d’Arc, Madeleine and Marielle, and her brothers Maurice and André. She was predeceased by her late brothers and sisters Jean-Paul, Normand, Jeannine, Lise and Céline.

We will all miss her energy, charm, warmth and smile, but especially her great and unfailing friend, Marcelle Proulx.

The family will receive condolences at our branch at 4250 Ontario East, Montreal, on September 16, from 6 to 10 p.m., and on September 17, from 10 a.m., when a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in Clémence’s memory. A snack will be served afterwards.
