At the Centre Hospitalier Pierre-Le Gardeur de Terrebonne , October 17, 2019, passed away at the age of 97, Mrs. Lucille Desrochers wife of the late Roméo Wilfrid (Bill) Barrette, wife of the late Gérard Sabourin in second marriage and spouse of 31 years of the late Marcel Legendre.

She is survived by her daughter Carole Desrochers Barrette and her son Tommy Bougie. Her brother Jean-Guy Desrochers, her sister Georgette Desrochers, and many nieces and nephews. The children of the late Gérard Sabourin, whom she considered and loved as her own: Sylvie Sabourin (Luc) and children Éric Rousseau, Benoît Rousseau (Julie). Daniel Sabourin (Diane) and children Émilie Sabourin (Frédérick), Guillaume Sabourin (Léna), Alexandre Sabourin (Élise). Louise Sabourin (Pierre) and children Stéphanie Beauchamp, Frédérique Beauchamp (Christine). Jean Sabourin (France) and son Michel Sabourin. The late Nicole Sabourin (the late Jacques Préville) and children Isabelle Préville, Martin Préville (Marie-Josée). Noëlla Sabourin (late Roger Bernier) and children Brigitte Bernier, Sophie Bernier (Stéphane), Christian Bernier (Vicky). The late Gilles Sabourin (Micheline). Lise Sabourin (Serge) and children Stéphane Boisvert, the late Josée Boisvert, Chantal Boisvert (Mathias), Jonathan Boisvert (Marjorie), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by the family of the late Marcel Legendre, children Lise Legendre (Joe), Louise Legendre (André), André Legendre (Johanne) as well as in-laws, many friends and acquaintances.

A celebration of his life will be held with friends and family on Saturday, November 2, starting at 1 p.m. at our branch at 48 Leblanc in l’Épiphanie. A moment of prayer with Lise Sabourin will take place at 4 p.m., followed by a snack.

A mass will be celebrated before his ashes are interred in the spring at Sainte-Famille Parish in Boucherville.
