Kongsone Laphengphratheng, life companion of Lyne Pimparé, father of Tina and Annie (Brandon Carter) Laphengphratheng, member of a large family of eight brothers and two sisters, and friend of many, passed away in Repentigny on February 19, 2025, at the age of 62.

Kongsone was born in Vientiane, Laos, and moved to Quebec in his teens, where he lived at Épiphanie. Those close to him will remember him as an excellent cook, an outstanding gardener, an avid hunter and fisherman, a self-taught auto mechanic and a bon vivant. He was a welcoming, patient, generous, resilient and unifying person.
