Mr Georges Fiola

Mr. George Fiola, 88 years and 10 months, husband of Gisèle Bardier, of Saint-Mathieu de Beloeil, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in the palliative care unit of Centre d’hébergement de l’Hôtel-Dieu-de-Saint-Hyacinthe.

In addition to his wife Gisèle, he is survived by his children Anne (Tom Gale), Lisa (Guy Vincent), Stéphane (Nathalie Houle), daughters-in-law Marie-Josée Lefebvre (Jeff Berardino), Vicky Lefebvre (Vincent Hamelin), as well as grandchildren Stéphanie, Pascale, Steven, Samuel and Olivier, great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

I have so many things to do, to see. Don’t cry when you think of me, Be thankful for the beautiful years. I have given you my friendship, You can only guess The happiness you have brought me. I thank you for the love you have shown me. Now it’s time to travel alone. For a short while you may feel sorrow. Trust will bring you comfort and consolation. We’ll be apart for a while. Let memories ease your pain. I’m not far away, and life goes on … . If you need me, call me and I’ll come. Even if you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be there. And if you listen to your heart, you’ll clearly feel The sweetness of the love I’ll bring. And when it’s time for you to leave, I’ll be there to welcome you. Absent from my body, present with God. Don’t go to my grave to weep, I’m not there, I don’t sleep, I’m the thousand winds that blow, I’m the glittering snow crystals, I’m the light that crosses the wheat fields, I’m the gentle autumn rain, I’m the birds awakening in the morning calm, I’m the star that shines in the night. Don’t go to my grave to weep, I’m not there, I’m not dead.

(Indian prayer)
