{"id":3235,"date":"2020-12-28T19:53:58","date_gmt":"2020-12-29T00:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bleuciel.sitewebwordpress.com\/avis-deces\/mr-rejean-poirier\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T20:11:42","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T00:11:42","slug":"mr-rejean-poirier","status":"publish","type":"avis-deces","link":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/obituary-notice\/mr-rejean-poirier\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr. R\u00e9jean Poirier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On December 23, 2020, R\u00e9jean Poirier passed away, leaving behind him a huge void, despite his legendary discretion.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is survived by the 3 wives of his life: Margaret, Pascale (Daniel) and Marion (Thomas), as well as his six grandchildren Miguel, Santa, Olivier, Charlie, Max and Laurent, and his brothers and sisters Marcelle, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, Gilles, Estelle, L\u00e9o and Jean-Jules.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">R\u00e9jean also leaves musicians and music lovers in mourning &#8211; both in Qu\u00e9bec and abroad. A leading figure in early music in Montreal, he will be remembered for his contribution to the music world. Co-founder of the Studio de musique ancienne de Montr\u00e9al and vice-dean, then dean, of the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al&#8217;s Faculty of Music, this great man left no one indifferent in his wake. Generous, sensitive and gentle, everyone will remember his sensitivity and kindness&#8230; Not to mention his intelligence and refreshing sense of humour.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M. Poirier, Rej, D\u00e9range, Gros-(et Trop)-Papa, petit papounet d&#8217;amour&#8230; As Olivier would say: you&#8217;ll always be in our hearts.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Under the circumstances, no ceremony is planned.
