{"id":2389,"date":"2024-12-24T17:04:36","date_gmt":"2024-12-24T22:04:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bleuciel.sitewebwordpress.com\/avis-deces\/ariane-beatrice-denise-nelly-isler-de-jongh\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T20:09:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T00:09:29","slug":"ariane-beatrice-denise-nelly-isler-de-jongh","status":"publish","type":"avis-deces","link":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/obituary-notice\/ariane-beatrice-denise-nelly-isler-de-jongh\/","title":{"rendered":"Ariane B\u00e9atrice Denise Nelly Isler-de Jongh"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is with sadness that we announce the death of Ariane Isler n\u00e9e de Jongh, on October 1, 2024, in her 100th year.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ed1a65d90b2d73893f4f6cbb2501a16 wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is survived by her children Monique <strong>Isler<\/strong>, Nicole <strong>Gullu<\/strong>, Marc <strong>Isler<\/strong> (Sylvia Jugel)<strong>,<\/strong> Philippe <strong>Isler<\/strong> (Carole Lalonde)<strong>,<\/strong> her grandchildren Nicolas (Blond\u00e8le), Sorren (Jack), Kirima, Laina (Philip), Shane, Julia, Mathieu and Marie, and her great-grandchildren Mathis, Micah and Arjun, as well as her nieces and nephews and their families in Switzerland, the U.K. and France, other relatives and friends.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ed1a65d90b2d73893f4f6cbb2501a16 wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, she trained as a photographer, and emigrated with her husband to Montreal. When the children were grown, she returned to her studies in Art History, obtaining her doctorate at the age of 60. She then moved to Victoria, British Columbia, with her husband on his retirement, where she was active in art history at the University of Victoria. Those close to her will remember her as a beautiful, cultured, intelligent and warm person.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ed1a65d90b2d73893f4f6cbb2501a16 wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Farewell ceremonies will be held at later dates in Montreal and Victoria, B.C., where family members will lay the urn at Ross Bay Cemetery beside that of her husband, the late Henri Isler.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ed1a65d90b2d73893f4f6cbb2501a16 wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family would like to thank the staff of CHSLD Ch\u00e2teau Westmount, who were with her for so many years.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ed1a65d90b2d73893f4f6cbb2501a16 wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts or the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1925-2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2390,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","class_list":["post-2389","avis-deces","type-avis-deces","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/avis-deces\/2389","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/avis-deces"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/avis-deces"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2389"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2390"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/bleuciel.services\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2389"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
